Folio (345×255mm). 32 pages, 4 engraved plates. Engraved frontispiece. Chipped spine, a small restoration on back cover, some minor foxing and staining throughout. A fine, wide-margined copy bound in its contemporary paperboards.

First edition of this commemoration for Napoleon's entry into Venice in December 1807. Dedicated to the Vicereine of Italy, Princess Augusta Amalia of Bavaria, it is beautifully illustrated with five engravings. The frontispiece, depicting the triumphal arch built at the entrance to the Grand Canal in Venice, is drawn by Giannantonio Selva and engraved by Giacinto Maina. The four aquatint plates at the end of the volume were all engraved by Giocondo Albertolli after drawings by Selva, Giuseppe Borsato and Giovanni Antonio Rizzi Zannoni.
