Quarto (265×164mm). [2] leaves, 539 [i.e. 545], [35] pages. Printed in Greek and Roman types. Printer's device on title-page. Bound in early nineteenth-century straight-grained red morocco, spine in compartments with title lettered in gilt and gilt decorations, speckled edges. Small hole in the gutter of m4 not affecting text, pagination from 283–88 is repeated twice. A very good copy. Provenance: Paulus Terhaarius (c. 1625/26–1667; manuscript note on title-page); W.R.H. Jeudwine (1920–1984; ex-libris).

The first Estienne edition of the Greek Anthology. It presents a completely revised text, with some additional epigrams and the scholia of Planudes not in the earlier editions, as well as commentary by Estienne himself.
